Brunei is on the North West of the island and covers an area of around 5,765 sq.km with the South China Sea running along its coastline. The population is around 280,000 and is made up mainly of Malay, Chinese and Indians with a few indigenous groups.. The capital is Bandar Seri Begawan

About 70% of Brunei's land area is covered by unspoiled rainforest, and is home to many types of flora and fauna
endemic only to the island of Borneo.
